2 Years, 1 month and it’s back

So our little princess started to limp again, this time on her back leg. A trip to the vet yesterday revealed what I had feared – her cancer has returned.

We are all absolutely devastated. Such a vibrant soul with an amazing spirit, lots of slobber, and a beautiful soul will be leaving us way too soon. With an estimated few weeks remaining, we’re going to make this an amazing end to such an amazing journey. The sofa will never be the same without her anchoring it, her brother will miss her immensely, and our hearts won’t be as full without her in it. Our memories will never fade, and our love for her will never fade. When the time comes to cross the Rainbow Bridge, it will be painful for us, but peaceful knowing that she is no longer in pain – and running free with her friends.

All my heart sweet Liza.

Thank you to all on this site for the love, support, and prayers as we went through the ups and downs of tri-pawd parenting – we appreciate all of you.

  1. I am so sorry that the cancer came back. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know how this goes having to let them go before they are ready.

Thinking of all of you. Spoil her.

  2. Oh no! We are so sad to read this, what a heartbreaking diagnosis all over again. I’m so sorry.

Love that warrior up, she is a true fighter and a beautiful example of what is possible after amputation. It’s hard to believe two years have gone by because she made it look so easy!

The cancer’s return sucks, but it will never ever steal her legacy or the hope that she will forever give to others in their time of need. We are so grateful you decided to share her journey with us.

We hope to see more of her in the coming weeks so that we can celebrate her life with you. All of us send lots of love for a beautiful time of bucket lists, all you can eat treats and whatever that pretty girl of yours wants. We are thinking of you.
