With her cancer spreading rapidly in her leg, we made the heartbreaking decision to let Liza go across the Bridge. Her heart, head, and wiggly butt were there, but her leg was failing. F. you, cancer. You may have taken my sweet girls body, but you could never take her spirit and soul. She passed away peacefully in the grass, outside, bathing in the sun that brought her so much joy – surrounded by friends, family and her brother. There are no words to truly express the pain and emptiness that encompasses our house now.
We are eternally grateful we got to share your life, and thank you for bringing so much joy and slobber to ours. We will miss you, sweet girl, and can’t wait to see you again.
All our love, Liza Jane.
I’m so sorry you had to make that decision…it’s so hard. I had to do the same with my Raz a week and a half ago…they’re whole now, with no more cancer! Sending love,
Cassie 💙
We are sooo truly sorry. Liza has been such an inspiration here, especially for parents of big dogs like her, and it breaks our hearts that she went to the Bridge. But you are so right! Cancer is awful but it cannot take away her beautiful spirt or all the gifts she gave you, gifts that will last all your life and into eternity. She was a blessing to everyone who got to know her. Thank you for letting us be a part of her life, and your journey.
